This professional learning workshop will provide a hands-on workshop using Sunshine Resources in the Classroom – a follow-up workshop for teachers who understand the Why and What of Structured Literacy and are now ready to enhance their practice.
This workshop is ideal for beginning teachers starting their careers in 2026, as well as for any teachers who need a refresher. It is advisable to have attended workshop 1 before attending this workshop.
This workshop will provide educators with:
- Practical ways to teach the evidence based elements of Structured Literacy using evidence based teaching principles
- Examples of practical and explicit classroom teaching practice
- How to use Sunshine decodable books in print and online
- Initial screening and interweaving ongoing assessment of students
- A FREE teaching kit that includes samples of Sunshine Phonics resources
